Wow. I think I set a record for myself on the "lack of blogging" meter. We have been so busy lately with all the new changes going on! We found out we were having a baby while we were packing up our apartment to move into a new place, we then moved into that new place, and are now trying to finish un-packing everything, all while trying to adjust to this new life we are entering into...talk about emotion overload! Hopefully soon it will start settling down a bit.
Unfortunately at this time, I don't feel like baby talk. I have a lot to say, but honestly, I'm tired of talking about it! Don't get me wrong, I love my little baby, but when you get pregnant it seems like that's the only thing that people want to talk to you about. So, I will leave that for a later post :)
Oh, and my camera broke, so new pictures of our place & things won't come for a while. Forgive me! We do really love our new place though. It's not the typical apartment layout which is nice. It feels like a little home :) Adam and I have been talking a lot about being parents. The responsibility of it all hits pretty fast. We feel really convicted about our own lives. We really want to teach our child by example...not the "do as I say, not as I do" stuff. It's hard! It's important for us to become more focused on integrity and discipline in order to accomplish any of this! Obviously I'm not naive to think that I will have it "all down" by the time the baby comes, ya right! But even to be a few steps in the right direction won't hurt by any means.
So, those are just a few minor updates. We still haven't hooked up the internet at our new place so I will post just as soon as I can!
Much Love to you ALL!

Surprise!!!!!!!
Sometimes plans don't work like we expect them to. We have high hopes, and try really hard, but I think that God has something else in mind. For example, my plan was to get 100% out of debt in just a few months, save up a 3-6 month emergency fund, complete nursing school, and save up a huge down-payment for our first home. Adam and I have been so incredibly excited about this plan for a long time now and have been making some GREAT head-way. But, God threw in a little something to rock our boats...
I'm Pregnant!!!
I suppose that's not a little something, but a BIG something! We found out almost 2 weeks ago, and were in complete shock for the first few days. This was totally NOT planned....not an accident (because I don't want my kid to think it was an accident!).
So here we are, almost 2 months pregnant and I just found out!!! Ahhhhhh!!!! It's crazy, but very cool. We are trying to adjust as much as we can to this new life we are about to enter, but we still feel VERY in the dark.
Prayers are needed people! We are excited, nervous, scared, apprehensive, happy, ....you name it. And I am just a FLOOD OF EMOTIONS :)
Signing off,
Adam, Krystle and baby Porter

Birthday Post
So, September 28th (Sunday) was my 23rd birthday! Unfortunately I didn't take a lot of pictures, but I will tell you about some of the highlights :)
My birthday started on Friday. My awesome friend Alexa made dinner for Adam and I, AND cleaned up :) Love it! Then we all hung out played games, and she made a yummy strawberry dessert...my favorite! We also watched the McCain & Obama debate...which was completely frustrating...but that's another topic that I will not even go into since I love all of you and want you to continue to read my blog.
Then on Saturday, Adam and I went first thing in the morning to go buy a gun....I know...some of you may be thinking, "No way. Adam and Krystle are SOOOO not the gun-type."...But hear me when I say we are hard-core, people!! Ha ha! Just kidding :) It's mostly because we didn't feel ENTIRELY safe in the new apartments we are moving into & wanted further protection. AND it will be cool to go shooting :) And wait...let me get this right....we got a Smith & Wesson 357 Magnum Revolver. Wow...I impress myself! ok, onto the rest of the day...
After that, we went to this AWESOME little brunch place in old "snooty-town" Scottsdale, which I love! It was totally a girly place, and it was a different feel being there with Adam instead of a girl since he was making fun of it the whole time :) But very fun! Then we went to go see Ghost Town. I wasn't all that impressed, but it had it's moments. Meanwhile, the whole day Adam is saying that he has this GREAT surprise for me that he KNOWS I will love. So, all day I was asking him "Is this the part I'm going to love?!?!?!". After the movie, we were so exhausted, ya know, since were super old and not used to having that much fun in one day!, that we came home to rest for a while....now that I write that, I feel SUPER lame for coming home.....I mean come on, I'm 23 for goodness sakes!!! After our little rest, Adam and I went to a Diamondbacks game...I was so sure that this was the surprise that he thought I would love, but it wasn't. We were walking into the stadium, and Adam said, " Ok, are you ready for the surprise?!" I said yes, and this is what the BIG surprise was.....
He said, "Well, with the tickets we bought, we get to get all the food we want during the whole game through the 7th inning!!!!!" - Bahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!
Now keep in mind, to me this was TOTAL music to my ears. And yes, I did feel like somewhat of a Fatty!!!!!....However, I am a total junk food junkie! Love it! I love candy, chips, soda, you name it...anything bad for me is what I love most. Leave it to my husband to give me such a practical surprise :)...Not a night at a 4-star hotel....not a fancy dinner out by a lake.....an ALL YOU CAN EAT SPECIAL!!! I will hold onto this story forever :)
I'm soooo tired of writing now, but on Sunday we went over to my parents and spent some good quality time over there. I got really sick by the time the afternoon hit and continued my sickness through Tuesday night, but all-in-all my birthday was VERY enjoyable. Glad to be 23!!
Me playing a racing game....And I'm not sure why I look so weird...I just do.
Adam being very intense
Us taking fountain shots at Scottsdale Fashion Square
My mom and I on my birthday day....and the cake isnt' decorated because I wanted Strawberry Shortcake...the other ingredients are not shown above....but it was delicious!!

Again, sorry for the COMPLETE lack of photos. But we forgot our camera for 1/2 of the time.
Peace!

Revenge of the Dogs
Every so often, it seems like Steve & Sophie like to get back at us for leaving them in the bathroom all day. Today was one of those days. When I open the door, they both have the look of pure excitement on their faces...it's like they knew what they were doing. I thought I'd let you in on the secret life of our dogs when we leave the house....
It always gives me a good laugh though :) ....and one more thing...don't judge me because my bathroom is so messy...I don't always live like this.

Simply Pooped
I have been working 12 hour shifts for the last 4 days straight (Wed-Sat). I still have 2 more 12 hour shifts to go (while my co-worker I am working for is basking in the warm sun & ocean breeze in Hawaii!....and no, I'm not jealous one bit...Ha ha! Ya right)Then today, Adam and I drove down 3 hours to Sierra Vista, Az for my niece's 1st birthday. She ended up getting really sick and had to leave her own party to go to the urgent care :( On the way there, my car over-heated, and we had to sit in the sun for a little over an hour waiting for it to cool down so that we could work on it. We just got back not too long ago, and needless to say I am pooped. It has been a long 5 days and I have to just tough it out for 2 more! I'm sure that my blogging inspirations will come back to me once my brain is done being fried by everything else this world demands of me :) I find that if I don't just blog about SOMTHING, then I won't blog until I have something to say, and that ends up being WAY too much in between. So, I am doing this both for you & for me :) Hope everyone's weekend has been GREAT!

Follow-up!!!
A while back, (I can't even remember how long ago!), I posted a blog that said that I was planning on getting a little bit "craftier". I'm not very good at following up sometimes, and I just finished a project today with my mom & sister, so since it was fresh on my mind I decided to fill you all in. We went to Joann's fabric store, we picked out fabric, thread, and stuffing, and we made pillows! I was a litte apprehensive at first because I have NEVER sewed ANYTHING in my life, but everything turned out much much better than expected :) I wanted to post some pictures so that you all knew that I actually followed up and did something I said I would do on my blog! I'm not a pro, but I think this one was a success.
What I started with...
The SUPER CUTE pattern
This is fuzzy, but I wanted to show you my seam :)
The Finished product! Love it!
Love you all,
Krystle
