Thoughtful Thursday

Warning: Random Overload
This post has no meaning really. Just thoughts, even a couple happenings...
  • Just found out today that my dear friend who is leaving me and moving to California soon is having a sweet, precious baby boy. After 3 miscarriages, she is growing more & more beautifully pregnant each day. It is such a gift from God.
  • I'm laying in bed right now typing this and Adam leaned over to tell me that I needed to go to bed. My response " No I don't...I can do whatever I want." He rolled over and went back to sleep.
  • I'm packing my house this week to move. Lots of work. Hard work.
  • I am yearning to be pregnant again. Oh to feel a little life moving inside of me! I almost forget what it feels like. Thinking back on my homebirth, it was just as perfect as can be. So peaceful yet chaotic. I wasn't ready, or so I thought, but she came at the perfect time on the perfect day. I thought I'd want to listen to music the whole time, but I didn't. It figures because the day that I thought I was pregnant (and was) listening to music made me feel like throwing up....should've seen it coming.
  • Ellie screams a lot. Not out of anger or frustration. Out of excitement! It's so cute but so LOUD! It feels like my eardrums are gonna blow. But I love it.
  • She also climbs a lot. Today she worked her way onto my rocking chair & that thing is pretty high off the ground! Kinda scary, but kinda awesome.
  • I got an 84% on my Anatomy & Physiology test. I feel okay about it. I didn't study as hard this time around. But I still have an A in the class, so that's good.
  • Had some good fellowship with another dear friend tonight. God spoke to me and told me some things to share with her. It was wonderful. So awesome to see God working in someone's life, and even more awesome to be a small part of it :)
  • I want to join some kind of league....maybe volleyball. Anyone know of any programs around Phoenix? Momma needs to work some weight off!
  • I can't belive that my baby is gonna be 1 soon. She is beyond precious. She just gets better and better with each day. I am soooo blessed.
  • We painted our bathrooms brown in the condo. We are calling it poop brown. I hope people don't think the same thing when they come over!
  • I can't believe that tomorrow is almost here. It came too fast. Time to go to sleep, then get back to the grind. Goodnight!

Love,

K

Before & After: Kitchen Cabinets

These babies took a long time! But I think that they turned out nicely :) Adam has definitely been my little handyman, and has been doing a mighty fine job! We will eventually put handles on them, but here is step 1:

Before: yucky, nasty wood laminate
After
Before: Even yuckier, nastier, wood laminate...can you say 80's??
After: with a little smudge of the paint we chose for the kitchen + our new fridge :)
We are hoping to move in in (I hate when you have to say a word twice!) 2 weeks...keep your fingers crossed!

A Day in the Life of ME!

There is nothing too special about me lately other than mastering the art of being extremely busy. For example, tonight I didn't even get home until about 10:00, didn't put the baby in bed til 10:45, and my mind is so wound (spelling?!) up that I can't even go to sleep. Anatomy & Physiology ON THE BRAIN. Would anyone like to know about Intramembranous Ossification?? I'll tell you all about it :) Just to mark it in history, I'd like to recap my days this past week:

7:30- Wake up, feed baby
8:00- Get ready for school (Mon, Wed, & Fri)
8:30- Do some last minute studying or homework
9:00- Take Ellie to Heather's to be babysat
9:30- 10:20- Math Class
10:30- Pick up Ellie & other baby I watch & come home
11:00- they take naps, I do more homework & studying
1:00- Babies awake, I feed them, change diapers, etc
1:00-2:00- Get some good play time in
2:00- 3:00- Give them some independent time & review some flash cards
3:00- Naps again and I do MORE homework
4:00- Wake up, feed, change diapers, etc
4:30- Scarlett is picked up, Adam gets home
4:50- Last minute dinner prep or take a shower!
6:00- Go to school
7:45- Come home & try to hang out with fam for a bit & eat dinner
8:30- Put Ellie in bed
9:00- Study again
Pass out at some point after that...
Whew! My hand hurts from just typing all of this...seriously....I wrote out around 500 notecards this weekend alone and it gave me tendonitis! Ha ha! Embarassing to admit!

Can't wait til things start slowing down and I get some free time!

Goodnight,
Krystle

Are you serious???

We found more MOLD in our condo. Yep, more. I hate mold. We went to our condo tonight to start the fun stuff...ya know, cleaning, painting, making it look clean & new....but no. We are back to square one...ripping out drywall and repairing. Basically making our home look worse. For the freakin love!!! Come on universe....go easy on us!

On a happier note, the paint colors we chose totally rock. I am VERY pleased. Pictures soon,

That's all for tonight. Short & Sweet.

Thoughtful Thursday

I was looking at Beth Moore's blog, LPM Blog, and got so encouraged today. For so long now, I have felt like a have just been at a plateau with my faith. Little things have been happening here and there, but I have felt like I haven't had sweet communion with the Lord for quite some time. The thing is, it wasn't really anything that Beth Moore had said in the particular video I watched, but it was more about just hearing who God is that made me come alive. I was talking to Adam on his lunch break from work, and I was telling him that it really did feel like my bones were coming alive! I just had this huge desire to meet with God. A desire that has been greatly missed.
Anyways, in the video I watched, she was talking about Hebrews 6:10-12:
" God in not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised."
We do not want you to become lazy. Wow. That really stood out to me. If I could sum it all up into one word, it would be that I have become lazy. It depressing to admit-but it's also really refreshing. Kind of a kick in the rear!
I am a part of a life group (small group) at our church called Experiencing Christ. Each week that I go, I am sad to admit that I really don't have much to share. I will this week though! God has spoken to me and told me through his word that I have become lazy (in the most graceful way, of course). Even though He is revealing something that makes me not look so good, I don't care at all. I am just SO pleased to hear Him.
So, here's to not being lazy! I am going to put this verse on a notecard, hang it on my mirror & in my kitchen, and remind myself that God is here with me, He has a mission for my life, and to be careful not to be lazy. The reality is, it's not God that is missing out, I am missing out on what a joy it is to have such a special relationship, and get to serve the God who saved my life. That is just perfect :)

Wordless Wednesday

From Left to Right: Steve, Sophie, Scarlett, & Ellie
My 4 babies. They may not all look the same, but don't be disillusioned, they are all babies. I have to clean ALL of their butts from time to time. Yes, ALL OF THEM. I'm not sure how I got them all to stay in one spot while I took this picture, but it's pretty darn cute! I know this is wordless wednesday, but it deserved a few words :0)
