2010 Camping Trip! FINALLY!!

This was our campsite! Beautiful, eh?! We went to the same exact spot last year & loved it, so we thought it fitting to give it another go around :) We even had the tarp to keep us dry in case it rained- it didn't, but it's always a lot of fun to watch the guys struggle to put it up- he he!

We had a bit of a smaller group this year- just 4 couples. But it was nice :) This is the guys before going on their traiditional Man Hike- guns, walking sticks & all! They had a good time as usual and even got to shoot their guns a few times.

Ellie hanging out by our inflatable boat we took out on the lake. Adam and I went on a little "date" for about 5-10 minutes trying to explore the lake on this thing- unfortunately, we had to come back after those 10 minutes because little ol' me wasn't feeling too hot- pregnancy woes! But we tried!

Ellie taking a bath in the wilderness! This was her, happy...before she experienced the cold water and hated it! Poor thing! She also ended up getting an ear infection while we were there- and we were pretty camped out- so we packed up early and went home :) So did everyone else though, so we didn't have to be the party poopers! P.S. It was definitely quite as challenging to have a toddler camping as I anticipated! Naps were non-existent, it was warm, and she was EVERYWHERE! I'm sure next year will be a little better- I hope!

The only picture we took of all of us! I love my family :) I have so so so so much life to catch you up on! This trip was the first weekend in September, and tons has happened since then. One of the MOST EXCITING things is happening tomorrow since we are finding out if our little baby is a boy or girl! To say "I can't wait!" is simply an understatement!!! It's 23 hours away!!!!!!!!

We're Back!!!

I can't say how happy I am to just be sitting here on my bed blogging. It is so relaxing, and I feel like I am turning a corner, and am definitely gonna get back to being my old self again....the self where I blog more than once every two weeks!

We just got back from Santa Fe, New Mexico on Monday night. It was GREAT and MUCH needed! Adam and I had such a good time talking up a storm & goofing around. We all need that little break every once in a while, right?! So, here is a recap:

-We left on Friday night and got to Santa Fe around 1am. We were pooped! Not to mention a huge snow storm was coming in, and we had NEVER driven in the snow! SHEESH! We were a little on the edge of our seats, and just a wee bit stressed...but we made it none-the-less.
-On Saturday we hung out with my aunt, uncle, and cousins, and then headed off to our resort, which was VERY nice! We were able to spend a lot of time just sitting around talking about our goals for this coming year. Adam and I just LOVE doing that. It keeps us focused.
- Sunday we hung out in the town (it was sooo cold!) and went to little shops, and ate a TON! It's funny how when you go on vacations how much you eat!! I feel like those are the main events of the day... nothing to complain about though :)
-On Monday, we were suppose to have a leisurely morning, and then head home. HOWEVER, when we woke up, we opened the window to tons and tons of snow!!! It was soooo awesome, but it made the freeway we were suppose to take home really dangerous, so we had to go another WAY longer way to get back. Our car broke down on us about an hour and a half before we made it home (note that this was an 11 hr trip now!) ....COME ON!!!! But it magically started up again and we thankfully made it home safe after midnight.

This week we have just been going non-stop with car repairs and all of that, and we are in need of another vacation!!! But, you guys are a little escape from my reality, so thank you dearly. And I took some pictures of my belly!!!!!! Finally!

We were walking through town and laughed HARD at this!! I know how it's REALLY pronounced, but we were calling it the "Creepery"- Ha ha!-Needless to say, we didn't go in there.
All bundled up- we went to a little pizza shop on the 3rd story of a plaza and it was so cool!

Gotta love the timer on cameras!
A beautiful picture of the townAdam and I playing hangman & tic tac toe at the restaurant :)
My familyMy aunts Ecuadorian (spelling?!) Christmas Tree! How awesome is that?Adam's belly picture!

My long awaited tiny bump!!!

There you have it everyone. A very LONG recap of our time :) Only 4 more days as of tomorrow til we find out what "IT" is!!!!! Ahhhh!! Can't wait :)

3 Years

We are going outta town people! And the forecast calls for snow :) I'm so way beyond excited about this. When we live in Arizona and the most we have to look forward to during Christmas time is a cloudy day, it gets really pathetic! So, here is to a real white christmas!!!

Adam and I are celebrating 3 years of marriage. It's crazy how the time flies by so fast. I never thought that I would be married for 3 years, and pregnant with our first child by age 23! Craziness. But it is so awesome, and such a blessing. I am married to my best friend, and honestly, there is nothing better than doing life with that person. We are planning on having an amazing time, and soaking up all the alone time we can get! I will be sure to post many many pictures upon our return :) And I know. No belly pics yet. I have taken some, but they are just not very good looking. It will be a happy day when it finally happens!!

On another note, did you notice my little meter off to the right?! By the time we get back, we will only have 6 days until we know what we are having! I can't wait!!! Those of you who haven't placed your bets go ahead, because it's getting to be crunch time people! Remember how I was saying that I didn't have any hunches? Well, I still don't...BUT...I can only see myself having a girl! I tried so hard the other night to imagine what it would be like to have a boy, but I couldn't! But who knows...it's all just one HUMUNGUS mystery....oh, and by the way, we aren't telling anyone what it is until Christmas! We are waiting until then to tell my parents & Adam's parents, so I would feel like they were a little cheated if I posted it on my blog :) So, consider it a present from our family to yours, and look for my on Christmas! ....that's not to say that I won't post before then too :)

Well, I'm off to get ready to go! Have an awesome weekend everyone.

Love, Krystle

Camping, Birthdaying, Apologizing, & Updating

To start off, I'd like to make a sincere apology for my lack of blogging! I have been soo un-inspired, and dry. Thankfully, I went on a trip, and my friend had a birthday, or else I'd have nothing to blog about! Ha ha :) Just kidding (well...kind of!).

Adam and I have been busy bees lately. We have been working a lot trying to tackle our debt, doing things with the youth group, finding a new apartment, and trying our best to hang out & spend time with friends & family.....oh ya, and make time for ourselves! Ha! It's been really cool this year to see how God is moving in our lives. We have been taken out of our comfort zones, and placed in unfarmiliar ground in a lot of ways, and it's been really good. Hard, but good. And with our tight funds, it's been fun to see how God still provides ways for us to be together, and have just as much fun if not more!

We are also getting really excited about the election coming up! How awesome is Sarah Palin?! Love her. She definitely inspires change...and she seems like a real home-town girl. And her views on abortion-if I understand her correctly- are SO right on. Love that too. So, all-in-all, I'm pretty excited about it :) And McCain is growing on me more and more. It's very heart-warming to see his patriotism through all of his years in service to our country- the good & bad. If that's not a strong testimony, I don't know what is. Ok, enough politics! On to Camping....

Over Labor Day weekend, we went with a group of our friends to Heber, AZ and had an awesome time! We stayed almost 4 days, which is enough to feel terribly dirty!!!...but good enough to feel like you went away on a nice get-a-way. It even rained!!! Some of our tents got a bit of water in them, but hey, what's the fun of camping if you don't experience nature, right?! The men also got the chance to be super manly and put up a HUMUNGO tarp! They were so proud of it when we were able to be outside in the rain and be perfectly dry :)

After camping, we came back and a few days later celebrated my roommates/AWESOME friend's birthday! The big 2-6!! I cooked dinner and dessert, we watched John McCain's speech, and then played a super fun game of Mexican Dominos...if you have never played then you simply MUST! I never knew how mad & competitive I could get until I played this game! Ha! So, happy belated birthday again Alexa!!! Love you :) I am soo not computer savvy, so the pictures aren't in order...I couldn't figure it out!!! Blah...

We are Blessed!

The pictures above are from a resort Adam and & I are going to this weekend called Westin La Paloma Resort in Tucson. This is where our church's marriage retreat will be held this year. We hadn't planned on going originally since it was quite the wad of cash, AND we are in our still in our "get-out-of-debt-in-a-year" plan , so we decided to decline. FORTUNATELY, some of the people at our church offered us a SWEET discount so that we would be able to go! We really felt like we would be missing out if we didn't go, and we were totally bummed about it, but NOW we get to! Yay!!!

This will be our 3rd time going ... wow, that's weird we have been married that long!... and each time we have gone it has been amazing. We have learned some life-changing and extremely practical ways to improve on our communication, among other things, and we are just so thankful that we get to go again. The two couples that are speaking throughout the weekend are such real & genuine people, which is great because it really opens all of us "attendees" up to be vulnerable & honest. It's all about Conflict-Resolution this year, so hopefully we will bring back some good helpful tips!

Happy retreating to US!!!!
